Another innovation this year is the Google University.
Everywhere in South Africa consumers and advertisers use the trusted search engine Google to find each other.
South African tourism will be bringing Google to you. During four one-hour sessions, delegates working on a PC connected to the Internet will learn from a Google specialist how AdWords,
Google's advertising programme, can concretely help their business grow at the pace and costs suited to each of their unique needs
Please note:
The Google University seminars will only be beneficial to
you if you have an existing website.
Some of the questions Google helps overseas consumers with are:
- What is the budget for a South African holiday?
- Where are the cool destinations?
- How do I choose a B&B in Cape Town?
- Where can I rent a car in Durban?
In the UK alone, 91% of consumers who search travel products or services online, use Google, making it a vital platform in the travel sector.
How does AdWords work?
Words typed by users in the search box (called "keywords") to find information on Google trigger the natural search results. AdWords, Google's advertising programme, simply displays text ads alongside Google search results, based on the same keywords.
The result? Ads that only appears to consumers who are specifically looking for what you sell in dozens of languages and all major countries or in whatever specific country you want.
How much does it cost?
AdWords offers cost-per-click pricing, which means the advertiser only pays when users click on their ad and land on their website allowing you to choose your daily budget.
Google's ranking system is not solely based on price, it rewards relevance.
No ad can be locked in top position just by paying more.
No matter how small your company is, if it’s the offering users are looking for, your ad could appear on top of the sponsored search results.
Google AdWords can be used for a wide range of marketing goals such as: Launch of a new hotel, awareness of a local car-rental offering, online bookings and collecting travellers' data for your e-newsletter, boost traffic on your site... to name a few.
